Min-Sheng General
Hospital was rated “Excellent” by the Taiwan Joint Commission on
Hospital accreditation (TJCHA) following its latest survey of the hospital. Min-Sheng
was surveyed for three days in August, but the results were only made public
recently. Min-Sheng received the grade in the Regional Hospital category; it also
qualified as a teaching hospital.
All hospitals in Taiwan
are required to be accredited by the
TJCHA in order to contract the National Health Insurance program for inpatients services. The TJCHA was established
in 1999 by the Department of Health, making Taiwan the fourth country in the
world to have its own hospital accreditation program. The program became the
first ISQua (International Society for Quality in Health) certified program in
Asia in 2007.
